Job description:

Telecommunications Technical Support:
The Contractor shall provide telecommunications support in the development, integration, fielding and training of emergent telecommunications technologies for SOF at home station and abroad. The Contractor shall support the interoperability, compatibility and integration ECM and SOF radio systems. The Contractor shall maintain currency on current and future telecommunication solutions and related telecommunications technologies and shall advise the Government of key technologies, threats and technology proposals.

Telecommunications Analysis:
The Contractor shall provide expert telecommunications support in the development, integration and fielding of emergent telecommunications technologies for SOF at home station and abroad. The Contractor shall support the interoperability, compatibility and integration ECM and SOF radio systems. The Contractor shall maintain currency on current and future telecommunication solutions and related telecommunications technologies. The Contractor shall provide assessment of telecommunication/ECM approaches, interoperability/compatibility, effectiveness and propose solutions as needed.

4.0 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
The contract personnel shall perform primarily at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Other duty
locations may include, but are not limited to, Tampa, Florida; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Washington, D.C. Normal duty hours are Monday – Friday, 0800 – 1630 hrs. All Federal
holidays are observed. Should operational needs arise, there shall be the requirement for
periodic work on Holidays and/or weekends.

Sprint Military Recruiting Workshop - Overland Park Kansas City June 27 2012

At Sprint, we value and honor members of the military who serve our country. We are committed to providing support and programs to assist exiting military personnel and veterans with their transition to civilian jobs. As part of this commitment, Sprint is hosting a transition workshop for exiting military personnel and veterans. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with hiring teams from Sprint, as well as other companies located on the Sprint campus about career opportunities, meet with members of our VETS Employee Resource Group and attend workshop sessions.

Blacksand Group Seeks Ranger/SOF Veterans

Blacksand Group is currently seeking resumes of individuals who would be willing to work on Ships or Oil Platforms in the West Africa area. This contract is in the planning stage and is not in hand as of this time, however as soon as it is in hand you will be notified. 

This project is being led by Blacksand (BSG) Group US, BSG Is led by Eric L Haney and Abraham Golan the project manager for this project will be Don Feeney. Both Eric and Don are former members of the 1st RBN and of US Army Delta Force. Eric and Don have worked together in the contracting community for over twenty five years. Mr Golan was an officer in the French Foreign Legion and within Israeli Special Forces, with more than twenty years experience in the Middle East and Africa.

Individual Requirements
Must have at least three years of military background with one six month tour overseas, DD214 will be required. A short Resume should also be provided,  applicants must provide a waist up photo , must be at least twenty five years of age and physically fit.

Contract Requirements
This will be a six month contract with no rotations, if the contract gets extended, leave status and contracts will be negotiated . And yes we do feel this contract will get extended.  Each five man team will consist of one team leader and four security look-outs.  Teams will rotate from duties on-board ship or oil platform to on-shore QRF and downtime. 

Pay for team member will be $6000 USD paid by direct deposit and a 1099 will be issued, Team leaders a bit higher, all other expense will be paid by client. i.e. Food, laundry, housing and transportation.

Calling Unemployed Veterans ages 35-60

Are you or do you know an unemployed Veteran age 35-60?

If so, there is a new Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Labor's (DOL) education benefit program that helps train Veterans in high demand occupations.

As a VetSuccess.gov user (I received this today - Karl) we would like to share information about our new programs and benefits that are underway due to the enactment of a new law. In an effort to reduce Veteran unemployment, the President signed into law the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 last November.  Included in this new law is the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) for unemployed Veterans, which VA begins accepting applications May 15, 2012.

VRAP will provide 99,000 eligible Veterans with up to one year of additional Montgomery GI Bill benefits in order to help you earn training and certifications in high-demand job. In order to receive these benefits, you must attend a VA approved program of education offered by a community college or technical school.

The requirements to be eligible for the VRAP program are:

• You must be unemployed the day you apply
• You must be least 35 but no more than 60 years old
• You must have an other than dishonorable discharge
• You must not be eligible for any other VA education benefit program (e.g., the Post 9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment)
• You must not in receipt of VA compensation due to Individual Unemployability (IU)
• You cannot be enrolled in a federal or state job training program
• You must be enrolled in a VA approved program of education offered by a community college or technical school

You can begin applying May 15, 2012, but cannot start any education or training until June 1, 2012 and you must apply to VA by March 31, 2014.

I cannot encourage you enough to take advantage of this unique opportunity if you are eligible, and if you are not, but know a fellow Veteran, who may be eligible, please pass this information along to them.

Also under this new law,  if you are a Veteran with a service-connected disability and have previously completed a VA vocational rehabilitation program and have used the initial 26 weeks of unemployment benefits you may qualify for an additional 12 months of VA vocational rehabilitation benefits.  To be eligible you must:

• Have previously completed a VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program and been considered "rehabilitated" by VA.
• Apply within six months of using up your initial 26 weeks of unemployment benefits. You may still qualify for extended or emergency unemployment benefits.

• Experience in the DOD environment in identifying, qualifying, capturing and working tactical product related programs.
• Able to think strategically, create and execute a strategy, per corporate direction that enables the sale of tactical products within specified/assigned sales territory.
• Able to craft and present strategic opportunity briefs to senior corporate executive & military leadership; understand and articulate customer tactical product requirements.
• Must have excellent communication, relationship building skills, and works extremely well with people. Be organized and able to multi-task and prioritize multiple programs and opportunities.
• Be familiar with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) processes.

Desired Skills:

• Prior military experience is highly desired.
• DoD logistics and/or material acquisition experience/training is highly desired.
• National Guard/Reserve sales experience is desired.
• Knowledge and experience with proposal development & response is desired.
• Education Requirements: Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3-5 years or more of successful tactical product sales experience.
